The first weekend was the bubble soccer competition – where the APX team made it to the semi-finals. A whole heap of fun was had by all and they were very proud of their efforts!
Weekend two included the netball tournament. The two APX teams made up of 18 staff took to the courts and came up against some staunch opposition. They played five games, and while we didn’t make the playoffs some future Silver Ferns were definitely discovered!
Finally, three teams participated in the Ten Pin bowling competition yesterday.
Jodi “STRIIIIIIIIIIIKE” MacKinnon took the honour of the most strikes by an APX player and Caitlin Thomson the honour of being the only player to release the ball behind her! They didn’t make the finals but other than some aching arms, swollen thumbs and a few bruised egos everyone had a fantastic time.
