UPDATE: Our Christmas Mission Express made The Project on their 'Cough up for a Good Cause' segment! :)

APX Travel management and Super Shuttle have again joined forces this year to support the City Missions in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

We had our first run to the Auckland City Mission on 5 December and talked to CEO, Chris Farrelly, on how our donations supports families around New Zealand at what can be a difficult time of year - check out what he had to say in the video above.

APX travel management and SuperShuttle have a second run to the missions on 13 December thanks to the generous donations they’ll be collecting from the offices of their many corporate customers and partners. If you would like to be part of this, drop any of your donations off at a APX Travel Management in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch and your donations will find their way to the City Missions and some very deserving families.

Find below from the Missions some suggestions around gifts & donations:

Donations of new, unwrapped gifts for all ages and genders are hugely appreciated. In general, we suggest a budget of $10-$20 to spend on a gift for someone in need this Christmas. While gift donations should be left unwrapped, the Mission is always grateful for donations of tape and wrapping paper! If you would like to personalise their gift donation, then a card or gift tag taped or tied to their donation is a wonderful way to do this.

In case anyone is stuck for gift ideas, here are a few that have really made Christmas special for Mission families in previous years. (Age groups highlighted blue are ones we often struggle to collect enough gifts for):
