Staff Appreciation Month has arrived at APX and all APXers were welcomed to work on 1 August with a handwritten note from their managers, balloons across the office and celebratory screensavers.
“Our people are pretty incredible at what they do and really set us apart in the industry,” says Wendy van Lieshout, APX General Manger. “That’s why Staff Appreciation Month is such an important event on our calendar – it’s a chance to reiterate to our teams how much we value them and their contribution to APX’s success.”
The month started off on a fantastic note with the announcement of the eight winners for this year’s APX Ambassador Awards - Georgia Brown, Mata Hosking, Amelia Glubb, Jess Gallagher, Carl Sinclair, Anna Heard, Jamie Bishop and Yvonne Staines. The winners will be heading off together on an all-expenses paid trip to Niue, thanks to sponsors Air New Zealand and Hogan & Associates.
The Awards are an annual people’s choice programme that gives our staff the opportunity to vote for colleagues who live and breathe the APX values of ‘Put team before self’, ‘Drive a culture of Innovation & Excellence’, ‘Create a sense of belonging’, ‘Be valued’, and ‘Have fun’.
There’s much more to come this month with planned events including Office Olympics, Movie Night with sponsor Allianz, Amazing Race with sponsor Air New Zealand, and a host of other small and thoughtful activities such as office massages and coffee shouts.
